This warning was handed out by Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, who noted that Osimhen put up yet another brilliant performance last Friday in his first match back, after injury knocked him out for three weeks.
While casting a look ahead of Tuesday’s away fixture for his team at Rams Park, Flick singled out Osimhen for specific mention, even as he acknowledged further that Gala’s team as a whole is highly formidable.
The Barca gaffer’s comment came a few hours after Osimhen twinkled in Friday’s 3-1 win over Kasimpasa, despite having to play the game as a substitute, having missed three consecutive matches for his team.
With expectations now rife that Osimhen will start their Matchday Two UCL fixture on Tuesday, Flick heaped praise on the former VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Racing Charleroi of Belgium, Lille Metropole of France and SSC Napoli of Italy hitman.
He further noted some rare attacking qualities in the 2023 African Footballer of the Year and warned that Barca must first cage Osimhen in order to overcome the Turkish champions at their backyard.
Flick stated in an interview with Ahaber, “Galatasaray have a fantastic striker like Osimhen. They really have a great squad. We need to be ready for this match. We have to play our best football against Galatasaray.”
