Nigeria Badminton Federation (NBF) president, Francis Orbih has expressed a strong level of optimism that the coming of a Chinese technical adviser will help improve the game in the country.
Orbih reiterated in a chat with sports247.ng that the NBF have lofty intentions from the decision to hire a technical buff from China, and said he hopes Nigeria will benefit more from the agreement.
He affirmed that the Chinese coach will not only handle the affairs of the Nigerian badminton national team, but also engage in nationwide development projects.
Orbih said: “A major advantage of this agreement is that the badminton federation or ministry of sports will not be responsible for payment of the Chinese coaches.
“They are coming to us free of any financial burden for us, as part of our sponsorship deal with the Chinese federation.”
