Onyekuru Opts To Stay Put With Galatasaray

Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru has poured cold water on recent reports linking him with a possible exit from the Istanbul-based Turkish Super Lig club.

With several top players, including Jude Odion Ighalo, being tipped to arrive at Galatasaray this month, sports247.ng gathered that speculation is rising over Onyekuru’s future in the team.

However, Onyekuru, who is on loan from Everton of England, insists he will remain with Galatasaray till the end of his loan deal this summer.

Onyekuru admitted that football is all about wheeling-and-dealing, but stressed that he aims to see out his current agreement before deciding on where next to ply his trade.

However, the former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium star did acknowledge that many offers are coming his way, but stressed that he will only talk about a possible transfer at the end of the current season.

Onyekuru said: “I have no idea about the news saying that I have decided to leave Galatasaray this January.

“Those are just media speculations to maybe possibly get my attention, but I have a contract here and I’m happy at Galatasaray.

“There are few offers from other clubs but I will take my time and decide on the best choice before making a move. That will be in the summer.”
