Onyedika set the tone early for the visitors, finishing clinically in the 16th minute to hand Brugge a promising start. His energetic midfield play and forward surges kept St. Truidense on alert, but the hosts responded swiftly and decisively.
A quick-fire turnaround saw Muja and Ito strike in succession, flipping the game on its head and putting St. Truidense ahead before the break.
Club Brugge showed renewed purpose in the second half and were eventually rewarded when Kaye Furo produced a composed finish in the 70th minute to level the contest at 2–2. The visitors appeared poised to salvage at least a point from the hard-fought encounter.
However, St. Truidense had the final say. With time running out, Andres Ferr capitalised on a late opening to fire home the winner, leaving Brugge stunned and empty-handed.
Despite the defeat, Onyedika’s strong showing remains a key positive for Club Brugge, as the Belgian giants continue their push to close the gap in the title race. His goal and overall performance underline his growing influence and consistency in midfield, offering encouragement ahead of the crucial fixtures to come.
