Okpara Expects ‘Dominant’ Eagles In Uyo

Former Super Eagles defender, Godwin Okpara has declared that he is expecting to see a ‘dominant’ Nigerian squad against Libya on Saturday, as he believes the home side are laced with abounding talents.

The Scotland ’89 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation, fondly called ‘Alan Ball’ during his heyday, told sports247.ng that there is too much quality in the Eagles for them not to dominate the Libyans.

Okpara, who made top marks playing with PSG of France in the early 90s, stated further that this weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo will the time for Nigeria to show their true quality.

Okpara, who was hailed as a future star by Brazilian legend, King Pele, said: “The Super Eagles have nothing to worry about on Saturday in Uyo.

“We have enough top quality players to make us proud. I am sure our team have what it takes to dominate the visitors, but we must not underrate them.”
