Nigerian quarter-miler Ifeanyi Emmanuel Ojeli continued his fine form on the European circuit, storming to victory in Serie 4 of the men’s 400m at the Campo Atletica Gabre Gabric meet in Italy with an impressive time of 45.86s.
Running in the colours of Atletica Virtus Lucca, Ojeli once again proved his consistency, registering yet another sub-46 seconds performance—his latest in a season marked by remarkable progress and reliability on the track.

The NSF 400m champion held off strong competition from South Africa’s Mthi Mthimkulu, who finished second in 46.04s, while Italy’s Matteo Raimondi of Atletica Cernusco secured third in 46.60s. Botswana’s Tumo Statago Van Wyk completed the top four in 46.88s.
With this result, Ojeli reaffirms his place as one of Nigeria’s leading one-lap specialists in 2025 and strengthens his case for major continental and global selections, including the upcoming African Championships and the Olympic Games.
