Ogun State Set to Deliver “Best of the Best” National Sports Festival – Commissioner Isiaka

As the countdown to the 22nd National Sports Festival continues, Ogun State’s Sports Commissioner, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, has confidently declared that the forthcoming event will go down in history as the “best of the best.”

During a media tour of key venues, including the revamped MKO Abiola International Stadium and the transformed Alake Sports Centre, Hon. Isiaka showcased the massive upgrades carried out ahead of the festival.

The stadium now boasts a refreshed exterior, newly laid athletics tracks, and a vibrant hybrid astroturf football pitch.

He praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for spearheading the improvements, particularly highlighting the expansion of the VVIP pavilion, which now seats nearly 150 guests—three times its previous capacity.

“The facilities speak for themselves,” said Hon. Isiaka. “We are working tirelessly to ensure that everything is in perfect shape before the games kick off. Ogun State will be more than ready.”

The Alake Sports Centre, set to host indoor events and handball, has also seen significant remodeling. According to the commissioner, anyone revisiting the facility after six months will hardly recognize it due to its impressive transformation.
