Ofoborh Fails To Make Bournemouth Debut Again

Bounemouth’s Nigerian-born youngster, Nnamdi Ofoborh yet again failed to get his senior debut, as he missed action in the Carabao Cup fourth round clash with Norwich City, as sports247.ng reports that The Cherries’ coach, Eddie Howe left the midfielder on the bench.

It was the third straight match Ofoborh would watch from the bench, following fixtures against MK Dons and Blackburn Rovers, but he still missed another chance for his debut on Tuesday at Vitality Stadium.

Nonetheless, Howe has interest in the 18-year-old Ofoborh’s progress, as he has trained regularly with the first team since last season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall kid won Bournemouth’s Youth Team Player of the Season award in May 2018, but has since been unable to break into the main squad.

Ofoborh’s latest chance to debut ended when Jack Simpson got off the bench in the 86th minute for Howe’s third substitution during the Cup game on Tuesday.

However, with The Cherries advancing to the quarter-finals, thanks to goals from Junior Stanislas and Steve Cook, Ofoborh will be hoping to debut in the next round, come December.
