Godwin Obaje, the in-form striker of Rangers International, has opened up about the drive behind his team’s gritty 1-0 triumph over Plateau United in the quarter-finals of the President Federation Cup on Saturday.
Speaking after the tightly contested clash, Obaje expressed joy over the outcome, highlighting the team’s collective effort and personal motivation that pushed him to deliver against a familiar opponent.
“We prepared and worked for it,” Obaje said. “By God’s grace, we were able to achieve it.”
The forward, who once donned the Plateau United jersey, admitted that facing his former club came with a special kind of motivation.

“My familiarity with Plateau United played a significant role in motivating me,” he revealed. “What was on my mind was to win with Rangers because it’s my current team.”
