NYG 2023: Ololade, RACBAR Academy Product Wins Gold For Edo, Emerges Overall Best

The Owner of the Ibadan-based RACBAR Academy, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde has described the sterling performance of her boy, Habeebullahi Jamaldeen Ololade who featured and won a gold medal for Edo State at the recently concluded National Youths Games as a testimony of the actualization of her vision for the grassroots sports development.

The 14-year-old Ololade Habeebullahi, who is a Senior Secondary School 2 student of Olubi Memorial Grammar School Kudeti Ibadan not only won a gold medal in the 46 KG boxing category but also emerged as the overall best boxer of the 2023 National Youths Games.

RACBAR Boss, while receiving all her kids who went to the 2023 Youth Games in Asaba to represent different states back to Ibadan, promised to support the education of the young athletes.

While picking out Ololade for a special prize, Ambassador Ayinde who owns Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre located inside the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium Ibadan, said her vision in establishing the RACBAR Academy is to produce genuine champions and is fast coming to fruition.

“In an effort at supporting, grooming, and empowering talented children from less privileged backgrounds in society in their respective undertakings through sporting activities, my firm Kayrom Lee Nigeria Limited established a talent hunt outfit, RACBAR Academy in the year 2019.

“We are running the academy free and it derived its name ‘RACBAR’ from the acronym of ‘Racket games, Ball games, Aquatic sports, and Ring sports’, and it was designed with a blueprint and policy paper to address the issues of age cheat that has become a cog in the wheel of sports development, not only in Nigeria but also in Africa at large,” said the Oyo State Mother of Sport.

Ambassador Ayinde who has been a principal partner with the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, South/West Zone one, on grassroots sports development also hinted that she will be unveiling the game of Netball at the grassroots in Oyo State by the 18th of October with the aim of introducing girls to the rudimentary and technicalities of the game from secondary school level.
