The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially announced the nominees for its January Player and Manager of the Month awards, recognising standout performers and tacticians who made significant impact during the month under review.
The shortlist reflects an intense run of fixtures across the league, with clubs battling for supremacy in both the Premiership and Conference groups.
Player of the Month Nominees
Five players have been shortlisted following their consistent and influential displays in January. The nominees are:
Abasiofon Uwah
Kareem Ramatalahi (Rivers Angels)
Ismail Zainab (Ekiti Queens)
Akekoromowei Janet (Bayelsa Queens)
Atume Doosur (Edo Queens)
Each of the nominees delivered decisive contributions for their respective teams, from crucial goals and assists to commanding midfield performances and defensive solidity.
Kareem Ramatalahi played a key role in Rivers Angels’ attacking dominance, while Akekoromowei Janet remained central to Bayelsa Queens’ title charge.
Ismail Zainab provided attacking spark for Ekiti Queens, and Atume Doosur’s consistent displays helped Edo Queens maintain their push near the top of the standings.

Fan Voting to Decide Winners

December Winners
Robo Queens forward Rafiu Tosin claimed the December Player of the Month award, while her coach, Emmanuel Osahon, emerged as Manager of the Month.
