NWFL: Sunshine Queens beat Dream Stars 2-0

Sunshine Queens on matchday 10 pdefeated visiting Dream Stars FC of Lagos 2-0 in Akure.

The match played at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure had Okah Adaobi scoring the first goal of the encounter after Dream Stars’ goalkeeper error in the 31st minute to make it 1-0 into the half time.

With little chances being created in the game Yakubu Aminat scored from mix-up in the opposition’s defense to give Sunshine Queens 2-0 to secure maximum points.

Sunshine Stars Head Coach, Wemimo Mathews said her team will be beefed up when the windows are opened to sign more players.

Mathews said he was happy with the result, but will also try and improve on the away form of the team to get better results.

The Head Coach of Dream Stars,Sherrif Tajudeen, said the position on the table was not the true reflection of the amount of hardwork being put into the team.

The table doesn’t like when it comes to where we are, but We have our objective, it’s a long season and we will continue to work hard to get out of relegation zone.

Sunshine Stars now has 16 points from 10 matches and sixth on the log, while Dream Stars are rooted in the log with three points.
