Rivers Angels delivered a dominant performance to overwhelm Heartland Queens 5–0 in their NWFL Premiership clash, producing one of their most emphatic displays of the season at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The Jewels of Rivers started on the front foot and took the lead as early as the 14th minute through Ramotalahi Kareem, who calmly finished off a well-weighted assist from Grace Saliu to set the tone for the contest.
Rivers Angels continued to pile on the pressure and doubled their advantage eight minutes later when Abasiofon Uwah found the net in the 22nd minute, converting from close range after a neat assist by Grace Saliu.
Heartland Queens briefly steadied themselves, with goalkeeper Shukurat Bakare producing a fine save in the 24th minute to deny Opara Chimebere and keep the scoreline respectable.
However, Rivers Angels’ attacking quality soon told again. In the 33rd minute, Kareem struck her second of the afternoon, finishing confidently from an assist provided by Abasiofon Uwah to make it 3–0.
The fourth goal arrived in the 38th minute as Uwah got her second of the game, rising highest to convert a Polinus Ifeoma corner kick and effectively put the match beyond Heartland Queens before halftime.
Rivers Angels showed no signs of easing off after the break. Ramotalahi Kareem completed a superb hat-trick in the 58th minute, capping a clinical individual performance and sealing a comprehensive 5–0 victory for the hosts.
The result underlined Rivers Angels’ attacking depth and cohesion, with Kareem and Uwah combining for all five goals and multiple assists.
For Heartland Queens, it was a difficult afternoon marked by defensive lapses and an inability to cope with Rivers Angels’ relentless tempo.
With this commanding win, Rivers Angels sent a strong message to their NWFL rivals, reinforcing their status as one of the league’s most formidable sides as the season gathers momentum.
