Just-In: NWFL Appeals To Premiership Clubs, NRA Caused The Delay For Wk 3

The secretariat of the Nigeria Women Football League, today sent a passionate appeal letter to clubs whose Week 3 matches are today, to allow the games to be played under flood light this evening, where applicable, and also tomorrow.

This was due to the delay in the appointment of referees by the NRA Referees Appointment Committee for the seven league games.

In the letter made available to Sports247, it said, “Following the late appointment of match Referees for the Week 3 matches, we write to kindly inform all the NWFL Premiership Clubs and state Football Association concerned of our resolve for the Week 3 matches to be played today under the floodlight if possible, or be shifted to tomorrow, being the 24th of December, 2020 by 7:30 am prompt. We regret any inconvenience this unforeseen circumstance might have caused you. Best Sporting Regards”.

The letter was signed by the NWFL Chief Operating Officer (COO), Faith Ben-Anuge.
