NWFL 2022/23 Season: Edo Queens FC Hit Makurdi For Amazons

Edo Queens Football Club of Benin on Sunday evening arrived in Makurdi the Capital City of Benue State to honour their first away Nigeria Women Football League NWFL new season league match against Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia.
The biggest NWFL which had suffered postponement will now begin on November 30th, 2022 across the country.

Edo Queens who are already in the City called the Food Basket of the Nation are presently enjoying hitch free training session in Makurdi.They will file out against the host Nasarawa Amazons FC on Wednesday at the Ape Aku Stadium Makurdi as they kick start the campaign for the NWFL title of the 2022/23 new season.

The coach Moses Aduku girls are happy and feeling very comfortable because they see Ape Aku Stadium as a home for Edo people because of the good relationship that have exited between Edo State sports fraternity and Benue State. You will agree with me that late Solomon Ogbeide of blessed memory did exploit as head coach of Lobi Stars of Makurdi, So for Edo people Makurdi is our second home. We have always enjoyed a massive support from Makurdi football fans as far as the round leather game is concern. Ape Aku Stadium Makurdi is a winning ground for us.

The Godwin Obaseki girls’ camp is bubbling with actions, the players and coaches are in high spirit, no injury scare, the players are all in the right frame of mind for the epic cracker.

For the 2022/23 season, Edo Queens FC will not give anything to chance as they are determine to keep Edo Queens Fc flag flying.

Benue Football fans are looking up to a good game in tomorrow’s encounter between Nasarawa Amazons and Edo Queens FC. The reason being that both teams are not new to each other. It is a game where both coaches will show their technical and tactical abilities, having worked together as first and assistant managers of the U- 20 Women National team. This game is seen as the Star match that will kick off the NWFL new season.
