NVBF Seeks Corporate, Private Partnerships Towards Successful Hosting Of Beach Volleyball Championship

Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has sent out invitations to corporate bodies and private individuals to step forward as partners towards a successful hosting of a sub-continental beach championship in the country.

Sports247 reports that the NVBF has already stepped up efforts towards hosting the African Nations Cup Beach Volleyball Zone 3 Qualifiers for men and women from July 3rd to 7th in Badagry, Lagos State.

Towards that end, chairman of the NVBF’s media committee, Godspower A Odedede disclosed that the federation is inviting volleyball enthusiasts to support the landmark championship, as Nigeria once again welcomes Africa to its shores.

He added in a press release that the championship, which is sanctioned by Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), will bring together elite players from across West Africa in a competition that promises excitement, excellence and regional unity.

With Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo, Niger Republic and Liberia set to storm Lagos for the competition, Odedede noted that the NVBF needs support from stakeholders, media organizations, corporate partners and the general public.

Odedede added, “Hosting the tournament further demonstrates Nigeria’s growing reputation as a destination for major events and reflects Nigeria Volleyball Federation’s commitment to the development and promotion of beach volleyball.

“Badagry, with its scenic coastline and rich cultural heritage, provides a fitting venue for the championship. It is expected to offer athletes, officials and spectators an unforgettable experience.

“The tournament will serve as a platform for participating nations to showcase talents, while competing for continental qualification opportunities. It will also contribute significantly to development of beach volleyball in the Zone 3 region.

“Nigeria Volleyball Federation, under the leadership of President Engr. Musa Nimrod, is committed to creating opportunities for athletes to excel on the continental and global stage, while strengthening Nigeria’s position in African volleyball.”
