NSF: Lagos Leads Festival Roll Call With 548 Competitors

Lagos State is top of the participation figures at the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja, as the 2012 hosts have a total of 548 competitors on their official registered list of the first 16 teams at the FCT Games.

Sports247.ng gathered further that The Centre of Excellence is followed in close second by Delta State, with 545 registered participants, while Akwa Ibom lie third witrh 416 members on their roster.

 

In fourth place on the registrations’ list are Rivers State, with 362, after which comes the hosts, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with 358, then Ogun State with 294 and Plateau State with 234.

 

Others in descending order are Anambra (211), Kano (210), Oyo 199), Yobe (167), Bauchi (127), Kogi (79), Cross River (60), Borno (60) and Jigawa (53), while Ebonyi State are the only missing ones all together.

 

Organisers were still compiling the figures of the other 19 states’ contingents that were on ground during Thursday’s opening ceremony at Abuja National Stadium.
