NPFL: We want continental ticket – Omo Jesu

Sunshine stars football club of Akure forward, Ogunniyi Oluwatimilehin popularly called ‘Omo Jesu’ has revealed that the Akure club wants to get a continental ticket.

Before the indefinite suspension of the league due to Corona virus pandemic, Sunshine Stars sat 9th position on the NPFL log with 34 points.

Omo Jesu was live on Twitter with @Mike_ThePundit yesterday to share a lot of things with football fans.

“Our ambitions collectively is to secure continental ticket,every other things comes second,which I believe we can still achieve it if football resumed,coz football is a game where anything can happen.”

The forward who has scored three goals this season narrated how he has been keeping fit in this pandemic period.

“I’ve been trying to keep fit from home by watching some fitness training done at home on YouTube and I engaged myself.”

Omo Jesu said if Gernot Rohr “can keep an eye on our league,he will see 2,3 or more players.”

“Every coach has right on his decision selection,but I believe we have thousands of talent in our local league too.” He added.

Omo Jesu is playing in his debut season of the NPFL with the Akure gunners scoring three goals in 20 appearances so far.
