NPFL: Tornadoes ready to fight till the end

Niger Tornadoes head coach Hamza Abara still believes that his relegation threatened side will remain in the top flight even as they face a serious struggle.

Tornadoes, who are 11th on the NPFL Group A table with 18 points from 18 games and five points adrift of top-flight safety, grabbed a 1-0 win against Katsina United on Wednesday.

Only four league matches are left, but the Ikon Allah Boys tactician reiterated his conviction that they are going to remain in the topflight beyond this season.

“We haven’t played at our best for a few games now but the players are showing that they have the love of the club at heart.

“They are showing that they won’t give up until the end when it is mathematically impossible to do anything.”

Tornadoes, who have picked just three points in nine away games this season travel to face Sunshine Stars in their next league game.
