The match day 4 of the NPFL was rounded up today with a one nil home victory for Adamawa United, who handed Abia Warriors their first defeat of the season.

In a similar story, John Obuh’s Akwa United are yet to a win a game. The promise keepers come into MD4 losing heavily to Enyimba; Mfon Udoh had a glorious chance to grab all three point from the penalty spot but blazed his kick over the bar.
Akwa United have three points from as many games played and fans are becoming impatience. Akwa’s opponent, Katsina United grabbed another point and are sitting comfortably in mid table.

Bouncing back from defeat to Plateau United, Wikki Tourist demolished Delta force by 3-1. Two goals from Daniel Jackson, one on either half inspired Wikki to the victory. Promise Damala was on the score sheet in the 35th mimute for Wikki before Ijioma Maxwell scored a consolation for the guests in the 89th minute.

Table toppers, Plateau United dropped points at Lafia, the winning run for Abdu Maikaba was halted by Nassarawa United who struck first through Anas Yusuf late in the first half, before Mustapha Ibrahim equalised in the 52nd mimutes.

After the rounds of matches, Plateau United still top with 10 points with Lobi, Wikki and MFM all in the top four. Jigawa and Adamwa moved up the table as Nassarawa, Pillars, Akwa United and Heartland at the bottom.
