NPFL: PILLARS HAIL FANS ATTITUDE ‘URGES LMC TO RECONSIDER THEIR EARLIER STAND’

The chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya has commended the fans of the club for abiding by the directives giving by the League Management Company of Nigeria, LMC, during the 2019/2020 NPFL opening game against Rivers Utd on Sunday that was played behind a closed door at the Sani Abacha stadium Kofar Mata.

In a statement signed by the media officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa and made available to www.kano-pillars.com said the Chairman expressed his gratitude to the supporters for not even being in the premises of the stadium before, during and after the match.

He said what the fans have shown is an indication of their concern to the progress of the club and assured that his management would continue working closely with them to move the club to the next level.

Alhaji Surajo then charged the players and technical crew to be focus on the task ahead of them and forget the 0-0 draw recorded at home against Rivers Utd on Sunday.

He also expressed confidence that the LMC would soon lift the closed-door sanction put on them and also reduce the twelve match ban imposed on the club Captain, Rabiu Ali aka Pele.

However, the chairman then thanked Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his financial and moral support to the team and pledged that the team will not disappoint the Government and good people of Kano State in the ongoing season.

Finally, the Chairman called on the entire fans of the club to remain patient and continue praying for the success of the club.

Kano Pillars will on Sunday 10th November 2029 tackle newly promoted side, Akwa Starlets away from home in their week two encounter.
