NPFL: Adeyemo tenders transfer request

Niger Tornadoes midfielder Bolaji Adeyemo has reportedly tendered a transfer request to the management of the Minna based club after spending close to 10 years at the team.

The defensive midfielder joined from Kaduna United in 2008. He will be fondly remembered for his selfless services for the club, notably among them was the match against El-Kanemi Warriors where scored the only goal in the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season in Lokoja.

Speaking with Sports247.ng, the Kaduna born midfielder thanked the entire management and staff of the Ikon Allah Boys for their care and support.

“I want to thank the management of the club for their support over the years,” he said.

“The main reason why I decided to take this decision, is to experience a fresh challenge with a new club and give room for the upcoming players.”

Bolaji Adeyemo was part of the Niger Tornadoes team that lost the 2017 Aiteo Cup final against Akwa United in Lagos.
