3SC injected in Nurudeen Aweroro, former Ikorodu City gaffer who finished fourth in the league last season alongside a young Sporting Director Tobi Samuel Adepoju, popularly known as “Oga Nla Media” ahead of the new 2025/2026 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Shooting Stars FC made a false start to life in their first game of the league season campaign, loosing 1-0 to Bayelsa United at the Lekan Salami stadium in Ibadan.

Shooting Stars made a statement of intent just five minutes into the game when Ismail Ayodele broke the deadlock with a precise finish, capitalising on a brilliant assist from Tijani Kabiru. The Benin Gunners quickly responded 7minute later with Oweilayefa firing home the equalizer to bring the hosts level.
