NPFL 2022/23: Bayelsa United Technical Adviser Diepreye Teibowei Reveals Displeasure Over Match Officiating In Loss Against Lobi Stars

Bayelsa United technical adviser, Diepreye Teibowei has revealed his displeasure over the match officials who were assigned to officiate in thier away loss to Lobi Stars in Matchday 4 of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Premier League (NPFL).

Teibowei allayed that the host team were obviously favored by the referee although he admitted that they scored great goals in the tie, Sports247.ng understands.

“I’m not happy we lost. Yes, even though they scored good goals, I’m not happy with the match officiating,” Teibowei lamented in his post match pressers.

“It’s like you are aiding one side against the other side, it’s very clear. Right from the beginning even in the dressing room, they were screaming at us as if we are fighting against them,” he further stated.

‘How can you that you want to improve the standard of the league and we still have referees refering this way?”

“The goals are good goals, I’m not bothered about the goals, but I’m not happy with the match officiating and if it continues like this, football won’t go anywhere, the standard will never go anywhere,” he passionately stated.
