NNL: Abia Comets set to humble 3SC

The President of Abia Comets FC, Coach Victor Nwakanma, has said that the club will not be intimidated by the old name of 3SC as they prepare to host the Ibadan-based clubside in Saturday’s Nigeria National League (NNL) encounter.

“I agree that 3SC is a strong team and is an old name but name does not play football.

“If name plays football, Rangers could not have fallen at home to a feeder team that was just promoted,” he said.

He said that his players were prepared and in high spirit to take on the visiting team, adding that they would depend on their area of strength to pick the vital three points.

“3SC played their first home match and won by 1-0. We will also approach the match in a way to take our three vital points,” Nwakanma said.

He said that he had no special preparations for 3SC, adding that the club usually adopted the same level of preparation for every match.

“We will approach the match the way we approach every match. They are training, we are training, they are ready, we are ready, he said.
