This landmark agreement heralds a new era for grassroots football development in Nigeria, promising unprecedented growth and global recognition for the league.

His Excellency Silas Agara, NLO Chairman and former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State revealed the details of the impending deal, expressing optimism about its transformative impact on the league’s trajectory.

Agara expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming interest shown by numerous brands in recent months, echoing the vision of the NFF President, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau, to position the NLO as Africa’s premier grassroots football league.

“We are happy with the several brands that have shown interest in the NLO in the last few months, as we want the NLO to grow to become a global phenomenon as the most successful grassroots football league across Africa, as challenged by @thenff President, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau”

The sponsorship deal, spanning four years, marks a significant milestone in this endeavor and underscores the league’s commitment to excellence.

Among the prospective partners, a lottery company licensed by the Nigeria Lottery Commission will serve as the NLO’s title sponsor, with an official unveiling scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2024. Additionally, four prospective partners, including a Croatian-based sports tracking platform boasting over 25 million monthly users worldwide, will be introduced to enhance club operations and global visibility.

While the partnerships entail various forms of collaboration, including website development, social media management, and talent discovery initiatives, the overarching goal remains consistent: to bolster club development and revenue generation within the NLO ecosystem.

Furthermore, the league has ventured into the digital realm by launching two dedicated channels on Blend TV, aiming to broaden its reach and engage fervent followers of grassroots football across Nigeria.

As the NLO embarks on this groundbreaking journey, propelled by strategic alliances and innovative initiatives, it sets a precedent for sustainable growth and advancement in Nigerian football at the grassroots level.
