The Nationwide League One (NLO) has confirmed that its 2025 Annual General Assembly (AGA) will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025, in Abuja, marking a key governance moment for Nigeria’s third-tier football system.
According to details released by the NLO Secretariat, this year’s AGA will be held physically, allowing stakeholders to engage directly on critical decisions shaping the future of the league. The meeting is expected to bring together State Football Associations (FAs), club representatives, and officials from across the federation.

In preparation for the congress, the NLO has directed all State FAs to select one representative each through a democratic process involving their affiliated clubs. The league stressed that this approach ensures every state is properly represented at the assembly, reinforcing inclusiveness and accountability.
To finalize accreditation and logistics, the Secretariat has also mandated all FAs to submit the name and phone number of their chosen delegate. The submission deadline is December 1, 2025, with the NLO urging strict adherence to avoid disruptions.
“The FAs are to provide the names and phone numbers of one representative who will attend the NLO 2025 Congress on behalf of their states,” the Secretariat stated, underscoring the importance of timely compliance.
The AGA remains the league’s highest decision-making platform, setting regulatory direction, reviewing operations, and addressing structural issues affecting the third tier. With preparations now underway, the NLO says it expects a well-coordinated and productive assembly once member states confirm their attendance.
