NLO: ‘My Goal Silenced ‘Lousy’ Smart City’ Says Messiah Striker Deji Alo

Messiah FC Striker, Deji Alo has expressed happiness after he scored winning goal against Smart City Football Club when both clashed on Sunday afternoon in the ongoing nationwide league one, NLO.

The much anticipated match which was held at the Alade sports center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho ended 1-0 in favour of Messiah boys.

In a chat with Sports247, Alo said he was happy that his goal silenced lousy Smart City boasting that Messiah had revenged defeat suffered in the hands of their opponents in the last Lagos FA Cup.

“I was furious when I read a report that Smart City were coming to beat us again.I saw the story as an insult and I came to the match with high spirits and I thanked God that I scored against lousy Smart City,”he said.

Alo revealed that they really prepared for the match saying that Smart City are not their rival when it comes to football in the state.

He disclosed that their defeat against Smart City in the last Lagos FA Cup is still fresh in their minds noted that their victory against them was well deserved.

“This is one of my best game in NLO
Honestly we deserve this victory because we had so many scoring chances that would have killed the game.We were at our best today and we got a positive result.Kudos to my colleagues for their supports both in and off the pitch.I am using this medium to dedicate my goal to them and the club management,”he added.

Asked if he wants to remain in Messiah next season,Alo said he wished to play outside the country.He noted that his game is matured and ready to start his professional career in Europe.

Alo has scored six goals so far in the league and promised to score more goals before the end of the season.
