In a statement released via its official social media platforms, the league body reiterated that clubs designated as venue hosts must take full responsibility for ensuring that match facilities meet the required standards.
According to the NLO, now that match venues have been officially confirmed following the release of groupings, host clubs are mandated to guarantee the availability and proper condition of essential facilities.
These include the playing pitch, changing rooms, and other technical infrastructure necessary for matchday operations.
The league also stressed the importance of adequate security and safety arrangements. Clubs are required to provide sufficient security personnel and measures to protect match officials, visiting teams, and spectators throughout the duration of fixtures.
Furthermore, the NLO warned that failure to comply with its competition rules and regulations regarding venue readiness will attract disciplinary sanctions in line with the league’s Code of Conduct.
Clubs facing difficulties in securing or preparing their venues have been advised to promptly notify the NLO Secretariat to seek guidance or intervention.
The directive forms part of the league’s efforts to ensure a smooth and hitch-free start to the 2026 season, while maintaining professional standards across all match centres.
