In preparation for the forthcoming Nationwide League One (NLO), Ottasolo FC squared off against Smart City FC in a game that ended 2-1 in favor of Ottasolo at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
Sports247 caught up with the head coach of Ottasolo FC, Olufemi Elijah after the end of the game.
The former player and ex-u20 Nigerian international discussed the preparations and objectives of his club.
Olufemi emphasizes that his side are laying the foundations for the upcoming season.
He told Sports247: “We are preparing and we believe God is going to be our strength but we know we are trying our best. We are just coming new to the game and the players are new, they are fresh in the system. So we believe God will help us.”
With the NLO commencing on the 7th of March, expectations placed on Ottasolo are high with many tipping them to move a division higher.
Olufemi was in agreement with the sentiments. He said:” Yes. We just want to play one season in the NLO and get promoted to the professional side by the end of the season.”
