NLO 2: Fehinty FC Set Up an Epic Play-Off Final Against Ogbomoso United

Fehinty Football Club of Ido Osun, Osun State on Friday, April 23, 2021 defeated Mao FC of Osogbo 3-1 to set up an epic play-off final against Ogbomoso United.

Winners of the final, which holds at the Osogbo Township Stadium on Saturday, April 24, will qualify for the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO 1) from Osogbo Zone.

In the decisive last round of matches for teams at the Ode Omu Centre, where Ojaja FC (12 points), Fehinty FC (12 points) and Olansile FA (10 points) had mathematical chance to pick the centre’s sole ticket, Ojaja FC came from behind to force Olansile FA to a two all draw while Odugbemi Naheem, who lost his father on Wednesday, stole the show as he bagged the hat-trick against Mao FC, who struggled to pull one back late on via a spot kick.

With the victory, Fehinty FC topped Ode Omu Centre with 15 points, after victories in 5 consecutive games and will face Ogbomoso United, who also lost one in eight matches at the Osogbo Centre.

The play-off final, billed for the Osogbo Township Stadium will kick off 3pm.
