Fehinty FC Skipper, Seun Badejo joins Spanish Side, CD Numancia

Captain of Fehinty Football Club of Ido Osun, Osun State, Seun Badejo popularly known as ‘Baresi’ has berthed in Spain for a professional football contract with a Spanish team.

Baresi who was a long term standing captain of Fehinty FC before he jetted out of Nigeria followed the footstep of his colleague, Sodiq Agbaje, popularly known as ‘Ronaldo’ who teamed up with a Spanish Side, CD Numancia in December last year, from the same team.

Speaking on the development, Proprietor of the NLO side, Ayo Fehintola stressed that he was happy the rationale behind the establishment of Fehinty FC is becoming a reality.

“We praise God that in less than 6 months, we have been able to fly two fantastic grassroot players abroad, for a professional contract. It is not by our making but through the Grace of God.

“The purpose of setting up FFC is not to be desperate to win the league at all cost but to assist young, budding, talented players from the grassroot to reach the top and we thank God the mission is now being achieved gradually.

“We are not going to rest on our oars as we shall continue to identify several other budding talents from the nooks and crannies of Osun State and beyond and nurture them to stardom,” concluded Fehintola.

Baresi was one of the pioneer players of Fehinty FC who was spotted by the club’s Team Manager, Adeniyi Akintibubo and Coach Taofiq Fagbohun a few years ago at a football Tournament in Ibadan.
