Nimrod Vows To Revive Volleyball National Teams

The president of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has vowed to put in every effort possible to ensure a revival of all levels of the country’s national teams next year.

 

 

Nimrod told sports247.ng in an exclusive chat that the federation will revive all the teams by February 2019, with a view to shoring up the sport’s image internationally.

He said from recent activities of the federation, coupled with the zonal scouting sessions should ensure the establishment of formidable teams for the country.

Nimrod disclosed that elaborate plans for the teams will be announced immediately after the festive period in December and January.

He stressed: “Recall that, apart from the under-19 youth team that won medal at the AYG in Algiers, the Volleyball Federation of Nigeria is yet to have other levels of national teams to represent the country.

“That situation we intend to change early next year. We believe that, by February 2019, we should be able to give you a clear picture of what the formidable Nigerian volleyball national teams will look like.

“Remember, we have engaged in a lot of competitions of recent. We also had a scouting programme that was very successful, and I believe we will get various level players from all these programmes.”
