It was a thrilling day for Nigerian athletics at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout in Texas, as several female sprinters delivered impressive performances in the women’s 100m event.

Success Umukoro led the Nigerian charge, clocking her second-fastest time of the season with a strong 11.30s (-1.0 m/s wind), finishing just behind compatriot Olajide Olayinka. Umukoro, known for her explosive start and smooth drive phase, continues to show excellent form this outdoor season.

Another standout in the same heat was Ruth Agadama, who crossed the line in 11.52s to finish fifth overall. The sprinter showed great composure and strength in the final meters to edge ahead of Umoibang.
