The Texas Tech graduate dominated the event with the only jump above 2.21m, underlining his status as one of the most consistent high jumpers on the U.S. collegiate circuit this season. His 2.24m effort stood as the top clearance of the meet and set an early benchmark for the year.

Bradford “BJ” Jennings finished second, clearing 2.21m to register a New NCAA top-five mark, while Bode Gilkerson placed third with a best jump of 2.10m.
