Nigerian Coach, Ayere Sylvester, Wins First International Medal After Three Months In Dubai League

Ayere Sylvester, popularly known as the Proactive Protagonist, picked up a winners medal with Fleetwood FC as the team ended the season gaining promotion to Division Two of Dubai League.

After leaving his role as Head of Opposition Analysis at Gbagada FC in Nigeria, coach Ayere was appointed as an assistant coach at Fleetwood FC in Dubai and also head coach of U13 side, United FC and in barely three months, has an international winners medal.

“I’m happy getting my first medal in less than 3 months of coaching in Dubai,” Ayere told Sports247.

“It’s a positive end goal within the shortest period of time, a push to do more and a proof to show I’m moving in the right direction in the right environment that produces positive results, creates room for continuity and the medal is a daily reminder of why I’m outside my country and a daily motivation,” he added.

Fleetwood defeated Sport Support FC in the promotion playoffs 2-1 in both legs (4-2 on aggregate) to pick up their medal of the Division three and gain promotion to the second Division in their first attempt.

“Moving from division three to two is a huge experience for everybody, the players, coaches and even myself who just moved to Dubai. It shows we’ll be experiencing a new level, new journey, new game next season, bigger stage, more networking, more exposure and it’s really huge as we have been working hard,” Ayere said.

“For me personally, it’s a massive growth in my career. I’m looking forward to every part of it, every match day experience and making a name for myself and the country as I’m representing Nigeria which I want to do with so much dignity and pride so as to set a good precedence for others to come,” he concluded.

Ayere formerly worked with Freibergeweg FA, Oasis Ladies, Rainieri FC, Gbagada FC,l and Rainieri FC Ladies in Lagos.
