Nigeria Young Star Shines In South Africa, Wins Young Player Of The Year Award

Former Golden Eaglet winger Ibrahim Jabaar has won the Young Player of the Season award in South Africa with his South African Premier Division side Stellenbosch FC. So far in his stay at the club, Jabaar has always put up top performance despite his age and is one of the youngest in his club.

Though a lot is expected from the winger, the former Ijebu united player gave a superlative performance during his U17 days in Nigeria which made placed more expectations on the young lad. It’s barely eighteen months since Jabaar joined Stellenbosch FC and with prospects like this, lots of quality performance is expected from the Nigerian in subsequent seasons.

The South African club was full of praises for the midfielder in their statements on the award night and on their website ” the nineteen-year-old has been an asset for us this season in the midfield, Weldon boy, you deserve it”

Though Jabaar has no goal register in his name this season his contributions were not left unnoticed by club officials as he has just two assists in twenty-eight games.
