Nigeria Lose Second Match To Cape Verde In The Africa Men Senior Handball Championship.

Nigeria lost their second match to Cape Verde on Tuesday at the ongoing Africa Men Senior Handball Championship in Egypt.

The Golden Arrows went into the match as they did in the previous match against Tunisia by going toe to toe against Cape Verde with a lot of fire power but came short of outscoring their opponent as the first half ended 19-15.

The Coach Rafiu Salami side then came back somewhat better in the second half scoring vital goals but still had avoidable turnovers which resulted in Cape Verde winning the game 35-29.

With this result, Nigeria will not qualify for the quarter finals of the championship as they will now go for the class matches.

They are also out of reckoning for qualification to the World Championship in Poland and Sweden next year.
