Nigeria Football Supporters Club holds bash to celebrate Nigeria@60

It was fun, glamour, and unlimited entertainment Thursday, October 1, as members of Nigeria’s foremost football supporters outfit, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, held a sumptuous party at its National Headquarters, along Western Avenue, Surulere, Lagos, in commemoration of Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary.

The party had members of the NFSC from different state chapters in attendance, as well as members of the press. Expectedly, the world-famous and widely traveled music band of the club were at their best as they thoroughly entertained the guests with popular tunes and newly crafted dance steps to the delight of a large turn out of guests.

Speaking with journalists at the event, National Chairman of NFSC, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, stated that the club decided to hold the big bash in celebration of Nigeria’s diamond anniversary, as well as, show appreciation to God for keeping members of the club alive and of course, Nigeria safe till this moment.

” I must tell you that I am glad that the NFSC is organizing this party to celebrate 60 years of our national life. This country have come a long way, and we must thank God for His mercies upon us all in Nigeria.

” Importantly, too, the NFSC is also using this momentous event to celebrate its members’ home and the diaspora for being alive despite the fact that the world was ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic. This party is a celebration of life,” Ikpea remarked.

He further admonished Nigerians and indeed, sports administrators in Nigeria to remain forthright and put the general interest of the country, first at all times.
