NFSC Hails IMC On 2022/2023 NPFL Season  …Restates readiness to support growth of Nigerian football 

The Interim Management Committee (IMC), led by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, has continued to receive praises and plaudits from football enthusiasts and stakeholders, across the country, on the successful conclusion of the regular season of the 2022/2023 NPFL season. 

Nigeria’s foremost football fans group, Nigeria Football Supporters Club(NFSC), has sent a congratulatory message to the Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye led IMC, on the success of the just concluded regular season, which it described as ‘inch perfect’, in terms of the organisation, standard and officiating during the season. 

In the press statement signed by the National Chairman of NFSC, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, it stated that in the 6 months of organising the NPFL, Hon. Elegbeleye, has shown commitment, professionalism, dedication and resourcefulness to rejig a league, that was fastly losing the interests of football enthusiasts and the investors. 

“The last 6 months has been a wonderful experience for the lovers of Nigerian football league, as well as, the sponsors and investors, who have started coming back to support the local football league. 

“Therefore, we must commend Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye and his team of the IMC, for doing a good job. We believe also that, with all the necessary supports, this IMC can bring back sanity, excitement and greatness to our local football league,” the suave and softly spoken NFSC boss stated. 

Ikpea went on to restate the commitment and readiness of the globally renowned NFSC, to work with the NFF, and particularly, the IMC, towards reviving the local football and making it more attractive to local and foreign sponsors and investors.
