NFF Set to Conclude Another Phase of CAF B-License Coaching Course This Weekend

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will this Saturday conclude the second module of the ongoing CAF B-License Coaching Course, marking another major step in the federation’s commitment to raising the standard of coaching education in the country.

Approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the course is being implemented in multiple phases. The first module was held from April 7 to 12, 2025, while the second phase commenced on Monday, October 6 and will wrap up this weekend.

According to the NFF Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen, the third module is scheduled to take place from October 20 to 24, with the fourth and final module set for November.

Eguavoen, who is also a CAF Instructor, leads a team of seasoned facilitators including NFF General Secretary and CAF Instructor, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi; Dr. Terry Eguaoje, NFF’s Head of Coaching Education; Coach Henry Abiodun, and Coach Abdulrafiu Yusuf, NFF’s Head of Technical.

The intensive course, which has 25 participants, focuses on advanced coaching methodologies, player development, tactical analysis, and match preparation in line with CAF’s professional standards.

Additionally, Mr. Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu, Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary, and Dr. Paul Onyeudo have been invited as guest speakers to deliver sessions on Laws of the Game, Football Injuries, Prevention, and Nutrition.

The CAF B-License Course represents a key component of the NFF’s long-term vision to professionalize football coaching in Nigeria and ensure that local coaches meet international benchmarks for technical competence and player management.
