Obiorah, who serves as Chairman of the Anambra State Taekwondo Association, Founder of Bestleg Taekwondo Academy UK, and Host of the prestigious Bestleg International Taekwondo Championships in the United Kingdom, met with Chikelue to discuss ambitious plans focused on sports development, youth empowerment, talent discovery, and international collaboration.

Sources close to the meeting revealed that both sports administrators shared ideas on grassroots development, mentorship for young athletes, and opportunities to create stronger international pathways for Nigerian talents across multiple sports.

The strategic meeting is being seen by many stakeholders as another major boost to Chikelue’s growing influence ahead of the NFF elective congress in Lafia, where he is expected to push strongly for representation on the federation’s next board.

Observers believe the former Super Eagles defender has continued to build valuable alliances beyond football as he positions himself as one of the leading voices advocating progressive reforms, transparency, and stronger grassroots structures in Nigerian sports administration.

With endorsements growing and strategic consultations gaining momentum, many football insiders now see De General Chikelue as one of the prominent figures to watch in the race for the next NFF Board.
