Organisers of the forthcoming Father & Son Volleyball Challenge have revealed that the competition, which will be staged in a two-A-Side format, is meant to promote peace, unity and togetherness within the community.
Sports247 reports that novel competition, which is packaged by Ajase-Ipo Volleyball Club, is scheduled to hold on May 15th and 16th at Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin, ahead of which the organizers urged all stakeholders to be involved.
They also called on volleyball enthusiasts, supporters and sports lovers across the state to witness the championship, which they say is mostly about using volleyball to boost unity, guidance and healthy competition among various generations.
A pre-competition press release from the organisers noted in part, “The Father & Son Volleyball Challenge promises to be one of the most entertaining grassroots volleyball events in Kwara this year.
“The tournament, which features a special pairing format of one senior player and one junior player, is aimed at promoting mentorship, teamwork, talent development, and stronger bonds within the volleyball community.
“The competition will bring together experienced players and young talents in a thrilling battle for glory, with cash rewards available for the top three teams. Fans can also expect intense matches, entertainment, and a vibrant sporting atmosphere.”
