Speaking at a townhall meeting held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Thursday, Ojulari described his appointment as a great honour and a weighty responsibility.

“We stand at the gateway of a new era—one that demands courage, professionalism, and a relentless drive for excellence,” he said. “Now is the time to turn our transformation promise into performance.”

Ojulari unveiled an ambitious agenda to attract sectoral investments worth $30 billion by 2027 and $60 billion by 2030. He aims to increase crude oil production to over 2 million barrels per day, sustained through 2027, with a target of 3 million by 2030. Other targets include expanding refining output to 200,000 barrels per day by 2027 and 500,000 by 2030, growing gas production to 10 billion cubic feet per day by 2027 and 12 billion by 2030, while ensuring wider energy access and affordability across the nation.

To deliver on these goals, the company will focus on agility-driven restructuring, data-informed decision-making, performance-based management, and transparent stakeholder engagement. Ojulari emphasized that these targets are not just numbers but symbols of national progress—bringing hope, jobs, and energy security.

He described NNPC Ltd. as a renewed, forward-looking, and future-ready company leading Nigeria’s energy transformation. “It’s time we tell our story—one of innovation, reform, and national pride,” he asserted.

Encouraging staff to embrace the company’s transformation, Ojulari stressed the need for unity in the journey towards making NNPC a more transparent, profitable, and accountable entity. He pledged to foster an environment where experience and youth combine to achieve excellence.

Additionally, he promised deeper collaboration with in-house and national unions to foster trust and shared purpose. He urged staff to lead with integrity, act decisively, and bring their best to the table.

“Our greatest asset is our people,” Ojulari concluded. “Together, we will build a high-performing, globally competitive NNPC Ltd that is proudly Nigerian and proudly world-class.”
