National Sports Festival Abuja 2018: Delta State takes the lead with 10 gold medals so far in the on-going national sports festival

There was out loud jubilation at the poolside as Team Delta won Gold in the 100m Freestyle through the superlative performance by Deborah Okpochini increase their their Gold  tally .

The Delta State Sports Commission Tony Okowa, and former AFN President Solomon Ogba were all present to cheer delta state contingents to victory.
Team Delta who are the defending champions of the National Sports Festival are eventually heading towards retaining the same championship position again with their current results on the medal table.

While the following 22 states have not won a single medal since the commencement of the National Sports festival  Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Cross River ,Ebonyi, Ekiti, Enugu,   Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Katsina ,Kebbi ,Kogi,  Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger,  Ondo, Osun, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba and Zamfara.
