Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia coach, Chris Danjuma has come out with a stunning declaration that he knows what to expect from Heartland Queens of Owerri when both sides lock horns in the Federation Cup final in Asaba on July 11th.
Sports247 reports that, while Heartland are still relishing their shock victory over FC Robo Queens of Lagos in the semi-finals, Danjuma believes his squad will not be hit with a similar surprise by the Owerri-based side.
However, the under-20 women’s national team, Falconets’ former coach admitted his team must not rest on their oars and reasoned further that they must concentrate well, in order to cover all departments during the final next month.
Danjuma further expressed satisfaction with his team’s qualification for the final and gave thanks to God for giving his side a 2-1 victory over Sunshine Queens of Akure during their semi-finals fixture in Enugu on Thursday.
“We thank God. Last year, we reached the final of the President Federation Cup, and now we are in the final again. We believe this will be a great final. In the Super Six, we finished third. It’s important not to lose concentration; just believe.
“We know what Heartland Queens can bring to the table. Once again, I thank God for my wards,” said Danjuma, who now turns his attention towards preparing for the final on July 11th at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State capital.
