The match, which was tightly contested from start to finish, was ultimately decided by a moment of quality in the second half. Afeez produced the breakthrough, finishing calmly after a well-timed assist from Sheu to give JustJohn FC the lead and, eventually, all three points.
Kwara FA approached the encounter with solid tactical organisation, making life difficult for the home side in the early exchanges. But JustJohn FC gradually grew into the game, controlling midfield battles and pushing with intent after the restart.
Speaking after the match, the head coach Ademola praised his team’s attitude and readiness from the opening whistle.
“The boys came prepared today. From the first minute, you could see their hunger and focus. Kwara FA also came well-prepared and very aware of how we play, so it was never going to be an easy game.”
He further revealed that a strategic adjustment to the squad list before kickoff played a crucial role in shaping the outcome.
“We made one important change before the match, and it proved decisive. It gave us the balance we needed to push for the winning goal.”
The victory marks another positive step in JustJohn FC’s campaign as they continue to gather momentum in the N-Youth League.
