My hardest opponent ever is Victor Moses – Luke Shaw

Former Super eagle’s right winger Victor Moses has earned the praise of premier league star, Luke Shaw. Shaw is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

Both players have for long playing against each other since they had been in the same league before Moses moved on. Shaw and Moses went head-to-head two times during the 2012-2013 season, in the Premier League and FA Cup, with Chelsea winning both games.

The 24-year-old left-back has played against some of Europe’s best players since making his professional debut eight years ago including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but it is Moses who has made a lasting impression.

The Chelsea player, currently on loan at Inter Milan, was one of Chelsea’s standout performers under Antonio Conte during their 2016/17 title winning season. Since then, the Nigerian has failed to command a regular starters shirt. Hence has went to reunite with his former boss.

The left back also noted that people always thought that he was joking. “People always think I’m joking, but one of my hardest games ever was against Victor Moses when I was coming in as a 17-year-old at Southampton,” Shaw said on United’s official website.

Victor Moses was part of Nigeria’s team in the Russia 2018 world cup where Nigeria were ousted in the group stage after winning only one match. Since then he has retired from the Super eagles at the age of 27.
