The Fulham star revealed that the strong support system around him has played a major role in his career, allowing him to remain focused despite the expectations that come with representing club and country.
Iwobi explained that advice from his parents, uncle and close friends has consistently helped him maintain perspective throughout his football journey.
“My family has always been there for me,” Iwobi said.
The midfielder admitted that professional football comes with enormous pressure, particularly when playing for a club in the Premier League and representing Nigeria on the international stage.
However, he revealed that he has never allowed outside expectations to affect his performances.
“They always encourage me to play freely and enjoy my football,” he added.
According to Iwobi, having people he trusts around him has helped him remain confident during both good and difficult periods of his career.
The 100-cap Super Eagles star said the guidance he receives off the pitch often proves just as important as the work he does on it.
Iwobi also acknowledged the role his family has played in helping him stay grounded despite the attention and scrutiny that follows professional athletes.
The midfielder remains one of Nigeria’s most experienced players and continues to be a key figure for both Fulham F.C. and the Super Eagles.
His latest comments come as Nigeria continue building towards future international competitions under coach Eric Chelle.
