Mutiu Adepoju Wishes Daughter Luck In Basketball

Former Super Eagles star, Mutiu Adepoju Adepoju has revealed that his daughter, Lade, is a rising basketball star, and he is wishing her good luck in her second season playing the game.

Sports247.ng reports that the daughter of Mutiu and his wife, Bimpe, is listed with University of Charlotte, USA, where she is majoring in business administration and international studies.

She was born in Alicante, Spain, where her father played professional soccer with Compostella and Real Sociedad, but she has opted for basketball instead of the round leather game of the century, soccer.

In 2017-18, Lade Adepoju played in 24 games, all starts, leading The Royals with 17.5 points per game and ranked first among all SAC players with a .542 field goal percentage.

She also averaged 7.1 rebounds per game and 1.9 rebounds, with a total of five double-doubles, and was named in SAC All-Conference Honorable Mention
Before joining Charlotte Queens, Lade attended Iowa Western CC, where she averaged 9.2 points per game and shot 61.7% from the field.
She also tallied 4.2 rebounds per game and 1.6 rebounds per game, earning 2017 NJCAA All-American honors.

Lade, who moved to the United States from Alicante in September, 2013, started out as a regular at the girl’s varsity basketball team of Blue Valley Northwest High College in Iowa.

“My goal right now is to finish college and get a master’s in international business,” she said, while also admitting that her father inspire her into sports.

Although she has opted for a different sport than the one that brought him fortune and fame, ‘Headmaster’ is not ruing the development, and is quick to wish her well in her second season.

Adepoju tweeted on Wednesday: “I wish you all the best in the new season daughter.”
